Jay Beard-Senior Auctioneer & Appraiser 

Jay has over 40 years of versatile auction and appraisal experience in the Real Estate, Antique and the Commercial and Industrial fields. As a Real Estate Auctioneer, Jay has sold residential properties across the country in the millions of dollars in value. As an Antiques Appraiser, he has been featured on public television’s ‘Antiques Road Show’.

 Jay has set World Record prices for antiques, fine art and decoys. Jay was also a lead auctioneer for the famous Las Vegas sale of the ‘Great Houdini Museum’ an auction which can still be viewed on the ‘History Channel’. On the industrial side, Jay has conducted hundreds of appraisals and auctions nationwide for construction, restaurant equipment, industrial machinery, and antique and current model automobiles. Jay is a graduate of the International School of Auctioneers and the Appraisal Certification Program of the University of Maryland. Jay is a member of the International Society of Appraisers and the National Professional Appraisers’ Association, and is licensed, bonded and certified. 

Bob Oakes-Senior Auctioneer & Appraiser 

Bob has over 30 years of experience valuing, buying and selling art, antiques, collectibles and real estate. He has managed antique, estate auctions and real estate auctions across New England, and is also well-known as a charity auctioneer for non-profit organizations. 

Bob is also a certified appraiser, who has identified and valued thousands of antiques and pieces of fine art. Bob is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School, the appraisal program of the Certified Appraisers Guild of America (CAGA), and is a member of CAGA. Bob has received his USPAP Certification from the Rhode Island School of Design and is licensed, bonded and certified.  Bob is also a longtime and well-known and respected Public Radio journalist.
